Having worked so far in North West London, with classes in the Free Church Hall in Hampstead Garden Suburbs as well as Hendon Leisure Centre and Finchley Synagogue we recently decided to open up a new branch of ace Lifestyle in Borehamwood.
“Why?” we hear you ask, would Anna and Charlotte with 7 kids between them and an already jam-packed schedule decide to take on more? Well, beyond the fact that we do rather like a challenge, we also believe that we can genuinely make a difference.
Having organised classes for well over a year in Hendon, Finchley and the Suburb we are always keen to hear feedback (good or bad) and we find that a lot of our regulars come back time and time again because they know we really care. We help them improve their form, challenge themselves and within each class offer options to suit every level. And what we are possibly most proud of is the community we have created – women from all walks of life who now, once or twice a week, look forward to exercising together. We have seen friendships flourish and women supporting each other and watched as our ladies grow their fitness level and inner confidence. We first started ace Lifestyle because we really wanted to make a difference – we hoped to make fitness accessible to even the busiest mums who balance so many obligations and really struggle to find dedicated time to themselves. And our proudest moment so far was realising that this was possible – we really can make a difference in people’s lives.
And so we decided to open in Borehamwood – to offer the women of the wood (see what we did there) the opportunity to take some time out of their inordinately busy schedules to devote some self-care. So with a heady mix of excitement, nervousness and anticipation, our doors are now open every Friday morning at 10 o’clock at 96 Shenley Road.
Leading our classes is our fantastic fitness instructor Zara who worked in musical theatre for five years before moving into fitness. She is small and mighty and a master at getting results and will definitely put you through your paces.
